You recently met Douglas, so next, let’s meet Alice – our Operations Team Lead who has been with us for four years…
1. Tell us about your current role?
I work primarily on our range of eBIS projects which involves working closely with clients to implement systems that meet their specific requirements. I am responsible for the project management and scheduling of these projects and collaborate with the team to ensure the system changes are documented and tested thoroughly.
2. What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
I find it extremely rewarding to help people. Whether that is supporting our clients to get the best out of their system or working with our team to explore new solutions and ideas. I get a great sense of achievement when I find a solution to a client or colleague’s challenging problem.
3. How do you think your colleagues see you?
Friendly and helpful but they will probably tell you I am happier when I have had my morning coffee!
4. Tell us something you learned in the last week? (work or personal related)
With lockdown restrictions still in place, I’ve been baking more. This week, I learned that putting buttercream on a hot cake will end up with your ‘cake’ resembling a melted snowman… it tasted good but I will not be making it on the Bake Off anytime soon.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Keeping active. I enjoy working out both at home and in the gym and when the sun decides to shine, you will find me trekking the Scottish hills. My favourite local walk is Newburgh Beach, I am really lucky to live right beside somewhere so beautiful!
