We love an Avatar here at Escone and in our line of work, our clients don’t always get to put a face to the name. So, we thought it was about time you get to know the ‘real’ people behind the Avatars – they’re nae just cartoons!
Our people make Escone who we are. Over the last few years, we have grown a trusted group of people who are committed to working together. Like family, we take care of each other and you.
We’re kicking off with Douglas, our Business Application Support Analyst whose been with us for over a year now.
- Tell us about your current role?
I work closely with Escone’s growing client base and my main responsibility is handling and resolving any challenges relating to eBIS and OpenAccounts software. In the last year, my role has become more varied, which is great as I’m exposed to a range of proactive project work, software enhancements and software deployments, not to mention managing and responding to technical issues as they arise, ensuring the highest levels of support.
2. What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
I get satisfaction from solving the complex of issues. I enjoy nothing more than to troubleshoot and get to the root of the issue and reach problem resolution. I enjoy gathering the data, analysing the situation and working with clients, vendors and colleagues to solve the problem.
3. How do you think your colleagues see you?
I would like to think my colleagues see me as an easy-going person and a team player that can be relied upon to get the job done. I always try to be friendly and helpful when I share technical knowledge.
4. Tell us something you learned in the last week? (work or personal related)
For roughly 400 years, the Tsars of Russia had a monopoly on the production of Vodka.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Like most people, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy playing the accordion, painting, and playing tabletop games with friends.
