It has been a wee while since we shared one of our quirky Avatars and let you get to know the Escone Solutions team…
They are not just ‘cartoons’ you know! They are based on the real-life, hard-working, unique people here at Escone.
You have met Kev, Douglas, Alice, and Sam and now it is time to meet Ewan – our Customer Development Manager.
1. Tell us about your current role?
I joined the Escone team in August last year as their Customer Development Manager and it is my role to act as the link between Sales and Marketing. I liaise very closely with our business partners, including our marketing specialists Prospect 13 and our growing client base, to meet and exceed their expectations.
Despite working remotely from Edinburgh, I have built strong working relationships with our partners across the business and enjoy helping to raise the profile of Escone.
2. What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
Working with our customers. I love getting to understand their business needs and helping them put an ‘Escone twist’ on their business operations. Seeing and going through the journey from enquiry to benefiting their business with them is incredibly rewarding.
3. How do you think your colleagues see you?
I would like to think that I am seen as an upbeat, hard-working individual who always has the teams’ best interest in mind. Although I have not met the whole team in person due to the pandemic, we all have a very close relationship, making my job a whole lot easier!
4. Tell us something you learned in the last week? (work or personal related)
Globally people consume about 2.25 billion cups of coffee every day…I may account for a large proportion of that…?
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Keeping active and being social (although not much of that has been allowed to happen in the last year…). I play semi-professional rugby for the Boroughmuir Bears, so when I am off the pitch, you will most likely find me in the gym or socialising with friends and family!
