It’s that time again, where we share one of the ‘real people’ behind our quirky Avatars, so you can get to know our humans a little better.
Our people define us. They are at the heart of everything we do and instrumental to our on-going success – like proud parents, we just love sharing them with you!
You have met, Mike, Kev, Douglas, Alice, Sam, and Ewan and now it’s time to meet Jodie. Jodie Donald is our Support Lead and she has been part of the Escone family for almost three years…
Tell us about your current role?
My role is to monitor the incoming helpdesk tickets to assess customer issues and assign them to the most appropriate agent who can assist and provide a timely solution. I also complete tickets myself, which involves troubleshooting and analysing application processes. From time to time, I enjoy getting my teeth stuck into bespoke project work for clients which keeps things interesting.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
For me, I enjoy how no two days are the same. With such a diverse role and client base, our team continually face new questions, and this allows me to collaborate with my colleagues to troubleshoot fit for purpose solutions. As a team of application specialists, we love a challenge! Also, interaction is important to me as I’m very sociable. So, although we provide remote helpdesk support, we interact with people all day, every day via Escone Assist.
How do you think your colleagues see you?
Having been with the team for almost three years, I think most of them know me pretty well! I would like to think they see me as a problem solver but also a fun outgoing member of the team who is always up for a challenge. Also, they definitely know they can rely on me to arrange our team food deliveries… it’s hungry work on a helpdesk you know!
Tell us something you learned in the last week? (work or personal related)
In the last week, I have learned the Rap from the Disney song ‘You’re Welcome’ off by heart. Don’t ask!!
I have also just realised it is now one of my most played songs on Spotify…
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Playing Netball.
I have played with my local club for over seven years and counting. After a long break due to COVID-19, I am delighted to be back playing.
If I’m not on the netball court, you will find me out with my friends probably at Wagamama’s. I might…just might…be one of their best customers…
