You have probably seen our team Avatars, but do you know the people behind them?
We think it is important you get to know our team as people don’t often get the chance to put a ‘real’ face to a name (or avatar!), especially during these strange times with many people working remotely.
You have met Douglas and Alice, and now it is time to meet Sam – our Support Analyst who has been with us for almost two years
1. Tell us about your current role?
In my role as Support Analyst, I am responsible for ‘first respond’ helpdesk tickets and resolving client queries.
I’m constantly learning on the job and have managed to gain knowledge across the systems we support, including OpenAccounts and eBIS. This has opened up many opportunities for me to be more involved in project work for customers, which I’m extremely excited about.
2. What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
The fact that everyday is never the same, it helps keep you on your toes. I’m never bored and I enjoy not knowing what my next support ticket will be or what to expect.
3. How do you think your colleagues see you?
They probably see me as the quietest member of the team although I have come out of my shell more recently! I think they would find me approachable, and the ‘go-to’ for anything involving food or drink – I’m the foodie of the team!
4. Tell us something you learned in the last week? (work or personal related)
In the last week I have learnt a few of things… the most memorable is something I discovered when cocktail making at home. Who would have known that Malibu and milk is a great choice of drink! I’d recommend you give it a try, just not if you are lactose intolerant.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Typically, when not in lockdown, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, whether that be just chilling at someone’s house or going out for food. This last year has definitely made me cherish the opportunity to spend time with those I care for and I’m looking forward to socialising again (hopefully) soon…
