How long have you worked at Escone and what is your role?
I’ve been with Escone for two and a half years – one year as an Application Support Apprentice and the rest as a Business Application Support Analyst.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
The problem-solving aspect of my job is what I enjoy the most – being able to dissect an issue and find the root cause.
Which of Escone’s core values do you align with most?
I would probably lean towards Collaborative. I enjoy involving other members of the team in working towards a shared goal/outcome.
What are your work goals?
To continue growing and developing, both in the work that I do and the people that I work with.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given in your career?
Slow down and don’t overthink things. I have a bad habit of overthinking sometimes, so being told to slow down is a good way to keep myself grounded.
What is your dream holiday location?
Doing a coast-to-coast trip of the United States and going through each state along the way.
What phone app could you not live without?
Couldn’t live without Twitter (Or X). Despite its faults, it is something I keep coming back to regularly.
Favourite film/TV series
Currently, it’s ‘The Boys’ on Amazon Prime or ‘Breaking Bad’ on Netflix. Both are amazing shows that I highly recommend whenever you have time to spare.
Book or podcast? Which do you prefer and what would you recommend?
I enjoy both – listening to podcasts and reading in my spare time. If you like horror stories, I would recommend ‘House of Leaves’ by Mark Z. Danielewski.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The power to move things with my mind. Great for when I’ve got a lot to do in a short amount of time or If I’m feeling a bit lazy.
