At Escone Solutions we recently took on our fourth Apprentice into the business so we decided it would be a good idea to showcase these amazing individuals and get to know them and their stories a bit more. First up we have our most recent addition, Kayla Ingram who has joined the Escone Assist team and is aiding with the front-line support tickets.

Apprentice Support Analyst.
Which school did you attend?
When did you join Escone?
I joined Escone on the 21st of February 2023, when I was 16. I was still at school when I found out I got the opportunity to work as an apprentice and left shortly after receiving the good news.
Why did you decide to take up an apprenticeship?
I thought it would be an amazing start to my career and to get a good taste of what it’s like to work in an office. An apprenticeship stood out more to me than continuing in further education as it seemed more beneficial. I wanted to experience in a working environment.
What has the apprenticeship given you in terms of experience, confidence, career development?
So far, it has boosted my social skills, such as talking to people via email, over the phone, and with those in my office. It has also given me the motivation to work hard and be proud of my work. It has also helped develop my independence by encouraging me to work individually. Since I started, Escone has really pointed me in a great direction in terms of starting my career and given me many skills to help me with my future.
How have the team at Escone supported you in your development?
The Escone team have made a massive effort to make me feel welcome and comfortable at work. They include me in projects to develop my knowledge, there is always a helping hand when I need extra help, and they always offer support.
Have you any career plans for the next few years?
Not anything specifically. I enjoy working with IT so for the moment I can see myself staying at Escone for future years.
