At Escone Solutions we recently took on our fourth Apprentice into the business so we decided it would be a good idea to showcase these amazing individuals and get to know them and their stories a bit more.
Since joining Escone in 2021, Leon has been primarily involved on the front line of the Escone Assist helpdesk. From initially knowing very little about system admin and support Leon has grown and become a key component of the helpdesk aiding clients daily and providing first-class assistance to our clients. Leon is also undertaking his ITIL 4 Foundation accreditation.

Which school did you attend?
I attended Mearns Academy from 2015 – 2020, and then NESCOL Aberdeen Campus from 2020-2021
When did you join Escone?
I made the decision to leave College and joined Escone on 10 May 2021.
Why did you decide to take up an apprenticeship?
I decided I needed a change in what I was doing and wanted to try something completely new.
What has the apprenticeship given you in terms of experience, confidence, career development?
My apprenticeship gave me newfound confidence and experience within an office workplace environment.
How have the team at Escone supported you in your development?
Escone has greatly supported me during my apprenticeship by showing me the best practices to take when supporting users and increasing of knowledge regarding the applications we support.
